When men get better, everyone wins!

Dear Pastor,

When men get better, everyone wins! When the love and power of Christ captures men’s hearts, things change in marriages, families, business, community, and church! When men make deeper commitments to follow Jesus, relationships are strengthened, marriages are healed, children are nurtured, integrity is brought to the marketplace, churches are strengthened, and communities are transformed. Why would we not want to make significant investments in helping men get better?

The Better Man event is designed simply to build Better Men. Our fast-paced, evangelistic event is designed to engage, empower and equip men to live the full life that Jesus invites us to. Our goal for the event is to invite the Holy Spirit to act catalytically in men’s lives. We  have a lineup of great speakers and humble men that God will use to build into the lives of your churchmen and their friends who are distant from God.

Is BME just an Event, or is there more?

Let's talk next steps!

It is our prayer that through the event, men would transform, encounter with Jesus and then join in some of our “next step” discipleship programs or connect with similar programs within your church. We are not a “one and done” event, and we are committed to partner with you in discipling your men.

George Whitfield once said that he feared in his evangelist work that he was “throwing people a rope of sand” because he wasn’t assimilating new converts into discipling relationships. We are committed to helping men find brothers to walk through life with.

As well as our next step partnership with Christian Leadership Concepts and I am Second, we will be launching an initiative called BME365 offering Podcasts, Prayer Opportunities, Service opportunities, and much, much more to help your men grow in their relationship with Jesus.

How can I engage men in the Better Man Event?

Let’s talk host sites!

We would encourage you to open your church as a host site for the event. For a ridiculously low fee, you can stream the event live to your church on Sept 18th or do so at a time more convenient for your calendar. Once you have committed to this, you can you use our promo materials (found here) to bring as many men to it as possible.

An alternative to this is to encourage some of the men in your congregation to host the event at their homes or businesses. This type of atmosphere provides a  more comfortable setting for those far from God, enables the ability to create deeper relationships, and empowers some of your men as evangelists. Hosting a site in your home is easy as well – we’ll send a link directly to all your hosts once they register as a host site.

What do we need to do next?

Let’s talk about making a commitment to host!

  1. Decided whether your church wants to host an event at your building or launch a series of smaller home host sites around your community
  2. Sign up at BetterManEvent.com for your host site.
  3. Use our materials found at BetterManEvent.com to promote the event
  4. Watch God capture and change men’s lives

What do we believe?

Check out our statement of faith!

It’s really important to us that you know who we are and can trust our commitment to Christ, his church and his kingdom. Here’s a statement of the core beliefs that drive us…

Core Beliefs

GOD

There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise.  God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom,  justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Revelation

God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

mankind

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.

The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.

Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Resurrection

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
